Meet Mark

Hello, one and all! Allow me to share a bit of my story:

As a teenager I wrote short stories for pleasure and relaxation. During those years my writing style developed due to authors such as J.R.R. Tolkien, David Eddings, Isaac Asimov, Agatha Christie, Stephen King, and others too numerous to mention.

With over 20 years of military experience, I am well versed in business/formal writing concepts and methods.

As a former columnist/staff writer for a local newspaper I have penned more than forty outdoor-related articles. I've also published several full-length pieces for magazines, including local history articles, parenting columns and articles in both China and Uganda.

Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Horror hold special places in my heart

Sharing my passion for the written word is a joy. Over the years I have mentored both aspiring and established writers.

Meet Rochelle

Welcome! My name is Rochelle and I am excited you are here.

I have always cherished the written word, starting with library day and book fairs as a grade schooler. This along with my lifelong use of journaling brought me to the practice of writing.

I have been a coach most of my life. Born last into a family of 7, I quickly became the peacemaker and facilitator of group dynamics. Often this meant coaching a family member and spread to my friend groups quickly. This lifelong pattern, along with my business education and experience, led me to become and practice as a professional coach over 20 years ago.

As a coach, I discovered writing for self-development, and I use it in my own life and in working with clients. Anne Lamott, a favorite writing teacher of mine, says: “Becoming a writer is about becoming conscious. When you’re conscious and writing from a place of insight and simplicity and real caring about the truth, you have the ability to throw the lights on for your reader.”

Becoming consciously aware of your patterns and developing the daily practices that support your writing life are the core of the work I do with clients. As a Gallup StrengthsFinder coach I have a unique understanding into habits and behaviors.

A writer’s life is a colorful one. It’s filled with passion, toil, terror and utter joy. I am here to share in all of that and more with you.

I am looking forward to meeting you!
